Welcome to the ADVOCATE:                                                                                                                                          On this home page, we'll introduce the current events regarding UNILEVER employees and how the company has handle  discrimination complaints among its employees.  By providing this information here, it is our hope the  practice of retaliation against those who have complain of discrimination at UNILEVER, that Unilever will stop the retaliation and promote equality among its workforce.

An Open Letter to the Associates, the Company and the Consumer:

Unilever is wonderful company to work for, the associates (employees) are dedicated to producing quaility products for the consumer.  The consumer should never fear using products made by Unilever, as Unilever has tight safety controls on its many brands before they are release to the market.

At the Unilever plant that I was employed at, the associates were dedicated to the company, knew their jobs, and worked under thier own direction.

One day I became a victum of discrimination from another associate, and this occurred almost every day that I had to work with this person.  When I went to my team leader regarding the problems with the other associate, I was told that I  was the problem and I was ignored.  I even stated to  Human Resource Manage that the actions of the other associate was discrimination, and again I was ignored.

Finally I was moved from that area to another production line, afterwards  had to seek medical treatment for the experience that I went through.

Months passed on, and I had no other problems with any other associate.  Then one day an event occured on the line, and I recieve the blame for causing this event.  I cooperated fully with the company officials during the investigation of the event, as I had no fear of causing that event to occur.  In the end the company blame me and I was fired!

This firing puzzled other associates as well, to them it did not make any sense at to why the company had fired me.  I went on to draw unemployment, Unilever did not even contest the unemployment.

One day surfing the net I discovered an article about a previous Unilever employee, and the events that had occurred while employed there, a victum of discrimination, made a complaint, and eventually was fired!  Soon I ws finding more articles on Unilever retaliation for complaints on discrimination.

To those who have suffered such harsh treatment, I would let you know you are not alone.  I have found that it is a battle that is yet to be won; some of you may have not had any thought to the reason of your firing; some may have sought EEOC help and not recieved it; and some have may sought an attorney  and found none to help.  Here is your voice!
